Do you Boopsie take this fresh, baked pincake?

Another mop-pet head has found a new body (err ... if you could call a cupcake a body)? She was my first attempt at yarny, frosting looking hair, so there are few minor hair imperfections. However, she is by far the coolest of my baker's half-dozen :)
Enjoy the pics!!!

Jober's Kitsch

So, I am finally getting there. With sewing and crafting a higher priority on my to-do list, I have actually got a few things finished, and more in the works. I also got my etsy shop set up!! The name is Jober's Kitsch. It is really basic right now, and it may take me a while to add banners, and fancy it up, but it will be functional!! I hope to add a few items in the upcoming weeks. I have a few cupcake pin cushions ...

and a few Japan pose dolls in most excellent condition that I am parting with ...

Plus, there will be more to come!!! Please stop by or spread the word to any doll lovers looking to adopt a few more!!!

Cupcakes In the Making!!

Well, my little cakes are almost done baking!! I can't believe it! Anyway, huge thanks to Annette for the push and kind words of encouragement!! This one is for Annette!! I have to say that this was a project I took on thinking I could make one in an afternoon! HA!! I am way to much of a perfectionist I guess, and I wanted it to not only look cute on the outside, but be a solid construction inside! So now that I got the pattern and the know how on putting them together, maybe they will come out faster!! Enjoy!! More to come!

Oh, and sorry about the pics (especially the last one, but I wanted you to see the back) ... I am still learning how to take decent photos :P

Sneak Peek

Here are a few items I will be parting with. October has been crazy, and I am afraid will continue to be so. However, I do have some goals to open a small shop with a few craft goodies and some dolls I am willing to part with by the end of the month/first of Nov. More details to come ... shop name, etc.!!! OH, and if anyone is reading who wants one of these fabulous dollies and doesn't want to wait ... holler and we will work something out!! Later!!

Death of a Vintage Ara Wool Bear by Maggie the Coonhound

So about a month ago I adopted a dog, Maggie. This one happens to be my second. She is very sweet, but has been more difficult to deal with than I thought she would be ... and why should I (really) be so surprised? She is very sweet; however from the little clues she gives my husband and I, we believe she didn't have such a great life before us. All we know is that she is between the ages of 2 and 4 and that she was at the shelter for about a year before we took her home. We even considered ourselves taking her back to the shelter, but we don't have the heart to add to unstable past. However, at times I really feel like the evil step-mother to this dog. At times, I hontesly resent having adopted her ... I know ... I feel horrible for really feeling this way. I hoping to have a change in heart. Good news is that my first dog, Kenleigh is madly in love with Maggie, and from what I hear this is usually not how things pan out for most families trying to adopt more than one dog ... at least not initially. So, I am trying really hard, to "learn" to love. Then this morning I walked in on a disaster. My craftroom, (which is the room Maggie gets put in to eat since she would otherwise eat Kenleigh's food ... and Kenleigh would let her) was a giant doll disaster. It seriously looked like a tornado hit. Of course I was completely upset. Doing my best to remain "calm and assertive" all I could say was "no, bad Maggie." Picking up the pieces and assessing the damage, I was a bit happier to realize only one dolly had a bit of damage to her shirt and one ara wool bear was in a million mangled pieces.

Okay, I feel a bit better sharing with those that might just understand how I feel!!

In a few weeks I hope to be making much more progress on my crafting, and even hoping to open a little store on etsy (probably closer to November). In finishing my craftroom I have realized I actually have a tub full of dolls that I just don't have room for, so I am hoping to clean house!! Stay tunned!! Hoping to post some pictures of what I will be parting with! Until then ...

The Weekend

Between biffing it on my rollerblades and a major star sighting (well ... major for my husband and I .. Josh Todd) in good old Lincoln, Nebraska, I've been busy this weekend painting my craft room. (I thought my husband and I could get it done this weekend, but it appears the color I have chosen will need three coats rather than two. Oh well.) In addition, I've made a bit of progress on the cupcake pin cushions!! YAY! Now I just need to get motivated to iron and cut some material for a craft night this week.

I wanted to take and show some pictures of a fun bracelet project I did with my sister. (I'll have to do that next time!!) In the meantime, I will show you a really cool bracelet my sister put made for her shop (recycledglamour.etsy.com) ...

The next picture is of a dress I bought from her. I am trying really hard not to want too many things at her store ... sometimes it is hard though, and I couldn't resist this yellow anthropologie looking dress!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Hope to post some pose doll pictures soon (now that my craft room is on its way to getting done)!!!
